Whittington Green School is a large mixed secondary school serving the local population located in Old Whittington, just north of Chesterfield in Derbyshire and about 3 miles south of Sheffield.
It is a community school administered by Derbyshire County Council, and was recently rated as ‘Good’ by Ofsted (February 2023).
The school have a number of excellent facilities available for hire from a full sized 11-a-side football pitch to classrooms.
The facilities at Whittington Green School include a large sports hall with space for 3 badminton courts, full sized basketball court with a number of practice rings and, of course, space for five-a-side football.
The multi-functional main school hall has a staging area for those who are interested in drama or, who need a space for rehearsals, two more badminton courts are laid out in the hall and a large space for running fitness or yoga classes.
There is also a gymnasium equipped beams, mats and benches and other gym equipment. This facility is also laid out with badminton, basketball and 5-a-side markings.
Finally, there are classrooms available for meetings, craft groups and Life Long Learning groups.
